How to price a deep clean
A deep clean covers the same rooms as a standard clean, with more detail in each one. Rather than guess a new speed, keep your standard cleaning speed and multiply the time. The page starts at 1.5 times, which is only an example. If your last few deep cleans took twice as long as a standard clean of the same home, set the multiplier to 2.
The rest of the math is the same as the house cleaning calculator. Floor time plus bathroom time, times the multiplier, times your hourly rate, plus add-ons.
How to bid a move-out cleaning job
Move-out cleans usually happen in an empty home, which saves time moving things around. They also include work a regular clean skips, such as inside every cabinet, inside the oven and fridge, and walls or baseboards. Price those as add-ons so the customer sees what they are paying for.
- Ask for the square footage and number of bathrooms, and photos if you can get them.
- Ask whether the home will be empty and whether utilities will be on.
- Agree on the checklist in writing. Put it in the notes field so it prints on the quote.
- Set a minimum charge for one-time cleans. They carry more travel and setup per hour than recurring work.
Quoting before you see the home
If you quote from photos, say so in the notes and state what would change the price, such as heavy buildup or pet hair. The quote prints with the number of days it stays valid.
Questions
How much more should a deep clean cost than a regular clean?
It depends on how much longer it takes your team. Time a few deep cleans and compare them with standard cleans of similar homes. Use that ratio as the multiplier. The 1.5 starting value here is an example, not a market figure.
Is a move-out clean priced differently from a deep clean?
The method is the same. Move-outs often add inside cabinets, appliances and walls. Add those as add-ons, and adjust the multiplier if an empty home is faster for you.
Should one-time cleans have a higher minimum?
Many owners set one, because a one-time job has the same drive and setup as a recurring visit but no repeat work. Set your minimum in the rates section.
Can I use this for apartments?
Yes. Enter the apartment size and bathroom count. The math is the same.
